Happy New Year!
Last year, I shared the books I read throughout the year and it was so popular, I’m sharing again this year. I love sharing my love of reading and book recommendations, so I hope you enjoy!
I was able to read 30 books over the course of the year. Honestly, I’m shocked considering that we were planning a wedding for the first half of the year!
I’ve tried my best to loosely categorize these books. Even though I’m a huge fan of “chick-lit,” I tried to mix it up a bit this past year 🙂

Beach Reads
South Carolina Sunset Series: #1 The Beach House, #2 Sunsets & Second Chances, #3 Fireflies & Family Ties – Rachel Hanna. These books are super quick reads! There are quite a few more in the series that are on my list for this year.
People We Meet On Vacation – Emily Henry. I actually did read this on vacation! One of my top three of the year.
The Newcomer – Mary Kay Andrews Has a bit of mystery in it, which I really enjoyed.
Drama
A few of these have a little bit of mystery within the stories!
A Summer Affair – Elin Hilderbrand. I didn’t like this – one of my least favorite of Elin’s!
Big Summer – Jennifer Weiner
Malibu Rising – Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Perfect Couple – Elin Hilderbrand. Not the typical Elin book. Definitely a mystery in here and I loved it!
That Summer – Jennifer Weiner – You don’t have to read Big Summer to read this.
Family & Friendship
Blush – Jamie Brenner. This was fun! It is about a family in the wine business.
Make Something Good Today – Erin & Ben Napier. This is a non-fiction memoir written by Erin & Ben Napier of HGTV’s Hometown. I absolutely adore them and this book was a favorite! I’ll be sharing a full review of it over the coming months.
The Identicals – Elin Hilderbrand
The One You’re With – Lauren K. Denton

That’s it – 2021 in the books! I never set a specific goal for how many books I’m going to read each year, because you never know what life will throw at you. Do you set a goal of how many to read? I love hearing your book suggestions and adding them to my list! Let me know below what you’d suggest I read in 2022!
