We are 10 days away from saying “I do!!”
Today, I want to share a little bit about my two fabulous bridal showers given by the very best people!
Indiana Shower
As most of you know, we decided to have our wedding in North Carolina instead of in Indiana where I grew up. Having a shower in Indiana was one way that I was able to celebrate with some extended family who I don’t get to see very often and won’t be able to travel for the big day.
I love playing with Photoshop, so after spending hours on Pinterest getting inspiration for invitations, I made the one shown below! I used a variety of free clip art and shapes in photoshop to bring this all together.

For this shower, we decided on an “open house” since we were going to be inside and weren’t sure how comfortable everyone would be with COVID.
Instead of a typical game during a shower, we had everyone write their name on an envelope and drew three cards during the duration of the shower. Bonus: This saved me from hand writing everyone’s addresses for thank you notes!
We had an amazing spread of food – everything from chicken salad sandwiches, to a yogurt bar, to delicious desserts – no one left hungry!

The Fabulous Hostesses
Thank you to my amazing mom, Nana, and bridesmaids for putting on this special day for me!
Little did they know that they were going to make my blog
Not pictured: my cousin Becky who came down with a tummy bug on the day, but helped so much getting everything ready beforehand! We also had help from my amazing family on cleaning up!
North Carolina Shower
I’m not going to lie, when my future Mother-In-Law asked to throw me a shower, I was a little hesitant to have one here in NC. Even though I’ve lived here for almost 6 years at this point, I wasn’t sure I would have many people attend – self conscious much?! I am SO glad that I said yes because the day turned out so perfectly!

This shower was a few weeks later in the month of April, so we were able to spend most of our time outside!
At this shower we did play a game since everyone was there for the whole time. Taylor’s Aunt Leslie had strung pictures up labeled 1-9 and everyone had to guess where each was taken! We ended up with a tie and have to have a guess off

We weren’t leaving here hungry either! We had some amazing food whether it was homemade or from local restaurants. I think my favorite pieces were the mini cupcakes made by our wedding cake baker!
The Fabulous Hostesses
Thank you to my wonderful future mother-in-law, future aunt, and friends who have become like family! Thank you for making me feel so loved and welcome over the last few years – now let’s make it official!

What I Wore
You may have noticed I didn’t wear white for either shower. Call me crazy, but I didn’t really want to! Pink is a major color in our wedding (and my everyday wardrobe!), so I thought it would be fitting to incorporate that in my shower outfits.
