It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love cuddling up and escaping into a good book any time of year, but especially at the holidays. Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite recent reads for this time of the year. So, let’s get started!
Christmas in Peachtree Bluff by Kristy Woodson Harvey
Up first, one of my absolute favorite Southern author’s, Kristy Woodson Harvey. I was SO excited when I heard that Kristy was continuing with the Peachtree Bluff series and coming out with a Christmas novel. This is the fourth installment in the series and I loved it just as much, if not more, than the first three. Don’t worry though, if this is your first time reading the Peachtree Bluff series, you’ll love it just the same and want to go back and read the others!
Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is a cozy, charming, small town read that centers around traditions and family relationships. This book follows the Murphy women and the major threat of a hurricane in Peachtree Bluff over the holiday season. I loved reading about the family coming together to celebrate their Christmas traditions and overcoming what life has thrown their way. I was so happy to be back with some of my favorite characters while reading this book. It was definitely a heartwarming page turner that I couldn’t put down!

The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews
Mary Kay Andrews is another favorite author of mine. I always have to snatch up any new book she has and read it right away. The Santa Suit was a short and sweet Christmas story, but oh how I adored it! This book follows recently divorced Ivy Perkins to a small town in NC where she bought a fixer-upper farm house. Ivy discovers an old Santa Suit in one of the closets and she sets out to find the story behind it. This book has the right amount of romance, mystery, and holiday charm in it. If you’re looking for a quick read to get you in the holiday spirit, this is the book for you!

The Winter Street Series by Elin Hilderbrand
When I read Elin’s Paradise series, I didn’t think another series of hers could top it. I was wrong – I absolutely loved the Winter Street series! I got the series as a gift last year, so I read it right after the holiday in January, which was still a great time to read it! The series tell the story of the Quinn family, their highs and lows, and takes place around their family inn in Nantucket. With each book, you get to know and love different members of the family and begin cheering for them as they overcome obstacles and strengthen their family bonds. This is a great series for you to cozy up with this holiday season!
