It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
I love, love, love decorating for Christmas!! Normally, I’d invite you in for our annual Christmas party and you’d be able to see all of this in person, but of course it was cancelled…#2020. So, grab your cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the virtual tour of our home from the comfort of your couch!
Let’s start outside! I was so excited when we bought our house that we would be able to decorate all the windows for Christmas. We leave the hooks for the wreaths up year round, which makes hanging the wreaths easy year after year.
Each year, I seem to add a little bit to our porch. The new addition this year was the wooden “Merry Christmas” sign. This was an impromptu DIY project because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted, when I wanted it. Next year, who knows what the new porch addition will be!
Alright, let me take your coat and come on in! Here’s our entryway all decorated for Christmas. If we were in person, I’d offer you a yummy Oreo ball. Check out my recipe here!
Next up, the dining room! Gold and plaid are common themes throughout the house for Christmas, and you can see that theme continued here in the place settings. A friend has labeled my decorating style as “Farmhouse Chic” and I think that’s the perfect description.
The kitchen seems to always be where people gather during a party, so we decorate in there as well. This wreath was a new addition this year. It is a fresh wreath we got with our Christmas tree and it makes the kitchen smell SO good! I have more ideas for the kitchen next year. We will see what I come up with :).
On to the living room. This room is where Taylor and I spend the majority of our time during the holiday season. Whether we are wrapping presents or watching a Christmas movie, I love the ambiance of the Christmas lights and the fireplace.
Not pictured this year is the basement tree. We put it on the porch since we didn’t have our party and then in true 2020 fashion, it fell over after two hours of being decorated!! It now sits in our living room, so we are extra festive with two trees.
That’s a wrap on the Christmas home tour and I hope you’ve enjoyed it! This may become an annual post for me to spread some holiday cheer!
I hope y’all have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
I’ve had a lot of these decorations for years from various stores, but I’ve rounded up some cute favorites for you to shop below. Click each image to shop!
Cheers!

Your house should be in Home and Gardens or one of those magazines. It was so nice seeing all those decorations, and knowing their exact location. Everything is beautifully done.
